My day job, I'm a graphic designer for a Budweiser distributor in the California San Joaquin Valley. We have an in-house sign shop at work. I do alot of design work for specail events. It's always something different. I work alot with the marketing department.
I do side work. Screen printing t-shirts, sticker, gigposters and any design work that comes to me through word of mouth. I have been in this industry for over 28 years. I've run presses and did pre-press in both screen printing and offset printing. |

Hi all, I'm new here.
Probably 75% of my work in the last 6 months has been either logo design or website design. I've worked for a few printing companies in the last 10 years, so I'm very experienced in designing just about anything that can be printed: company stationery packages, posters, brochures, annual reports, direct mail pieces, product packaging, large format graphics (billboards, signage, etc), and lots of other stuff. I enjoy creating logos the most, I think. Just something rewarding about creating the foundation of a company, and getting in on the ground floor with a start-up company, or re-branding an existing company that wants a fresh look.

i'm a pro photographer and freelance designer so my work is really varied. From logo design and print design. for example i would do a band photography shoot then use my photos to design posters and cd covers etc, similarly i do model portfolios and then design zcards etc.
I also use graphic design to enhance basic photo portraiture and make it a more unique product. |

Hi! I'm new here. I'm currently working for an ad agency here in Manila. Doing commercials, from the traditional to the not so traditional. Takes photos on the sides as a hobby. Enjoys illustrating and painting aircrafts(a big fan). I'm into designing logos too! I'm currently handling large accounts here in the Philippines (from airlines, malls, retail and food) and some projects abroad.
So it's nice nice meeting you all and cheers! Last edited by jetsetexpress; 07-30-2009 at 08:22 PM. |

I try to get my hands into everything, because I want to be pretty well rounded.
I'm currently going to AIU for my AABA in VIsual Communications, with plans to gain my Bachelors in Visual Communications in another years, with that concentrating on Graphic Design or Web Design.. not sure which choiceyet, but I figure I can always go back and major in the other one as well. I mainly do Photo Manipulations, some Logo style work, do a lot of Flyers and CD Album Cover work since I work with some producers and artists here locally. Most people love my photo manipulation work and always requesting me to do some tripped out stuff to their profiles or photos, or even sometimes the occasional logo. I've done several CD Covers, not like Professionally Fantastic, but for their tastes they love it. I'm still learning in areas to make myself a better designer which is another reason I joined in this site, and maybe a chance to finally make money in something I love to do, b/c I hate Pizza Hut..I am telling you that..lol I would love to get into clothing and shirt design etc, which I plan to partner with a buddy of mine who does excellent hand done work. I can't draw by hand for the life of me, but where I lack he makes up with his talents, and I'm good at the computer aspects of it..so we plan to put the 2 minds together and possibly start up a SoCal Fashion Style with Southern aspects being that we live in Texas. .. just a dream of ours. If you wanna actually see some of my stuff, you could add me on myspace, and we could spit ideas back and forth to help each other, maybe teach me things I'm doing wrong or doing good but could tone back a bit. ? ???????? ? | MySpace |

For my full time job I do a lot of debugging and error fixing on large corporate websites. I also do a good amount of banner creation and page styling.
My freelance work is everything from full page creation and styling to template mock ups or just optimization work. I don't do much logo creation as most of my clients already have them. |

I grew up taking art classes throughout school. When i graduated i recieved an art scholarship. But i had a band and we were traveling in the late 80s so i opted out. Did the band for 15 years and went into photography when we broke up. Then i started to get in to photoshop heavily and started designing for people and tried my hand at logos. I have been hooked ever since. Its been 7 years now i have been making logos, web front pages and sports walls. While it is not my main line of work ( and i wish it was ) i have a blast doing it. I work on the web and advertise my photography for side work. But in real life, now... I am a bored shipping and receiver!

I started out with programming and coding, php, css/html. Nothing too complicated tho, my design skills were raw back then. Right now, am working more on designing, refining my style. Joining contests accelerated this process and forced me to think of more creative ideas, it took me a while to get on the right track =). Its always a learning process, and this is what I love about designing.

My full time job is 2D Vector design (E.G. Logo / Illustration / Mascot / Caricature). It takes up the majority of my days (13 hours per day 5 days per week - sometimes 7 days). I've always been doodling with design since I was a child, have a 15 year background in the general design industry, & a 5+ year background in commercial vector design.
Before I went full time with my small homebased design business I was doing part time design on a laptop out of my KW T600 (A Kenworth commercial truck with a sleeper). I was a full time over the road tractor / trailer (18 wheeler) driver. So basically I would run loads all over the U.S. border to border & in my downtime I would fire up the laptop to design. Eventually I was diagnosed with a medical condition & was no longer able to work in the trucking industry. Losing my insurance after separation from the company I was refused the needed operation from the local hospitals here. So, low & behold now I'm a full time vector designer hopping that Obama's socialized medicine bill gets accepted (Not looking like it will now though).
