Smile Inspiring Music for design

Hello together!

Today I wanna know: What's your most favourite Music while you are designing? Not only "What you're listening right now" but a bit more deeper.

I prefer Music of films, like
The Passion of the Christ Soundtrack by John Debney
Music of "The Crow"
Gladiator Soundtrack
it makes me feel uplifting

on the other hand I like alternative much
f.e. Dallas Green, William Fitzsimmons.

House Music and Schiller (Chillout/Trance)

I didn't listen "Passion " but "Gladiator" is one of my favourite soundtracks.

I will add as very inspirational :

The Hostage by Alexandre Desplat ( i like other Desplat works too )
Psycho, Taxi driver, Cape Fear by Bernard Herrmann (superb composer, hard to find and buy other works)
The Island by Steve Jablonsky
I also like asian soundtracks . Curse of golden flower (Shigeru Umebayashi) is one of the best of this kind.

Depends on what I'm doing...my graphic designs..I listen to country music most of the time (huge kenny chesney fan!) while sculpting or traditional canvas painting I don't listen to music or even have a tv on, lets me concentrate in a different way as I need the stillness to work out my composition, I don't want to be filled with music when working the composition.

When I am designing or brainstorming I listen to Techno/Trance almost exclusively. Lyrics tend to distract me and this style music is very energizing.

depends on what I'm working on - I've listened to the soundtrack from the first Harry Potter movie probably a thousand times. That said, I also listen to metal, electronica, uk grime - really depends on the work.

I do typically listen to the same music for the life of the job...so if I'm listening to phish when I start a poster, I might listen to the same album 6 or 7 times until I finish it.

I have the same habit. Music and current work becomes one piece that way.

Catalina Lotero : Could you named some other artists or albums ? I don't recognize old french music well. Maybe that kind of music is worth to try.

LOL

i usually do things in total silence so it keeps me on track better, but if it's a boring project then something with a heavy beat (megadeth's endagame was insane for instance) and if it's a nice relaxed day, then some nice harmonics like covenant or arvo pärt

i love the idea of design as a job because you can do it while listening to music or even watching movies, hardly ever feels like "work" but it pays like work

that said, i listen to catchy stuff that keeps me in good spirits
if you like alternative/pop/rock
my top picks atm are "Hands" by the Almost, "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" by Vampire Weekend, "Always Be" by Jimmy Eat World, "Bittersweet Symphony (Cover)" by Ace Enders & A Million Different People

I listen to Above & Beyond. I prefer soothing dance music because it keeps me content and focused.

I like to completely rock out. Metallica, STP, and any other band. Recently been listing to Danko Jones entire collection while I work. A friend turned me on to them. For some reason all the load crazyness helps me focus
