Slingshot - $200 - May 31st
Forum Username: Nek
Type Of Contest: Logo Design Contest Title: SlingShot Contest Deadline: May 31, 2009 Prize Amount: $200 I have a brand new, patented product, soon to go to market. It is called the SlingShot, and it is a tall (3") shotglass you wear around your neck. Based on the nature of this item, I am looking for a fun, exciting and dynamic logo (possible cartoonish), which would be relatively simple and clean to reproduce on my website and literature. I do not wish to promote irresponsible drinking with the logo, but do see the Slingshot as becoming the next big bar and nightclub craze.

Whew, I started getting a complex.
The good news is, you pegged the look of the glass, and the tilting of the lettering. Is it possible to see the glass hanging from the "g", possibly tilting a bit like the existing "t" with the liquid inside splashing around a bit??? I think I prefer the lettering in sample "a" without the bordering. Great start!!!! Thanks Last edited by Nek; 05-26-2009 at 08:13 PM. |

More splash inside glass will ruin "t" I think ( after some experiments )So, my suggestion is this design: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...Shot11_nhr.png |

Daphne, we really like your lettering and the string on your glass is awesome. We like the lettering style, maybe just slant them in different directions a bit. Like the way the glass stands out.
Nhr--Love the look of the glass (is there a way to make it "pop"??). Anyway to make the string look more like a string?? Also, the slanting on the lettering is perfect, although looks too blocky (if that is such a word) and my eye is drawn immediately to the very large "o" in Shot. We are very, very close. Thanks. |

OK, thanks to all.
From the bottom up.....Daphne, you are there. Vovikus.....Dont really like the uniform letters or the style for the glass/string. Illumina....Like the colors, not really the style of the letters. Glass is a bit lost and hard to make out, but do like the way it looks like it is coming towards you. NHR....everything is good except for the style of the letters. Looks a bit elongated, but we like the glass, and tilt of the lettering. Thanks again, this is probably the last round of constructive criticism. |
