Type Of Contest: Logo Design

Contest Title: Logo Design - Wood working company

Contest Deadline: July 1, 2009

Prize Amount: $350

Colors To Be Used: Blue, White, Etc.

We want to re-vamp our logo and update the look. I was thinking of using the wave but limiting the colors to blues and whites. Maybe a night seen with a full moon? Or an "angry" wave. I would like to see it with and without the company name in the logo. Be creative, I am not set in stone on the wave but it's a start. I want this to be in a file type that I can use in my word documents and quickbooks invoices ect. A jpeg or vector file? Thanks...

Thank you for the submissions! Illuminia, this is not quite what I was looking for. It has sort of a cruise ship feel to it. I want somthing that is more striking, more along the lines of what FMD has done. Also I would like to see more of a emphasis on woodworking in the logo. Maybe looking through trees with the ocean beyond or perhaps the moon shining through the waves? FMD, I find your concept interesting can you play around with the wave concept some more, I think you are on the right track. I do like the company name at the bottom of the logo. Can we try some different blues, maybe a translucent blue that lets light though? I like these colors but would like some different options. I feel we are off to a good start - thanks!

Good work everyone. I am still liking FMD's design the best. FMD - can you play with the colors some? Maxson, good entry, I like V1.0 the best. Can you try a different font with this, something more along the lines of what FMD has chosen? Also, aspen trees might be a cleaner look. I am still open to suggestions, please keep them coming...

Here are some revisions with a couple different colors of blues. the waves are transparent to allow an additional color of blue.

Let me know what your thoughts/feelings are.

I am liking the new colors FMD. Can you make the company more bold so that it stands out? Not too keen on the logo with the trees, looks like a tidal wave. I like the top left the best on V1.2. I also like the bottom one with the blue background. I am new at this, when would I get both variations?

Haha..now that I look at it, it does look like a tidal wave.

Do you mean you want the files? If so you have to tell Nevadabadgirl that you want to end the contest early and that you have chosen a winning design.

if you mean you want to see the variations, I can have that up as soon as possible.

Usually pdf and eps are only needed.

people mean different things when they ask for something "bolder" so I gave you 2 variations of "bolder" for v1.3 I made the weight of the font heavier, for v1.4 I just changed to a darker blue.

Let me know if this is what you were talking about.

I want the company name to stand out the graphic is important but I don't want it to distract you from the name. I would still like to see more designs that suggest a woodworking or millwork theme. FMD could you play around with a full moon casting light onto the wave? Thanks!
