I need a graphic identity for an emerging hot rock band. The principle tool of this branding project will be the band logo. The band is currently playing very successfully in the Jam Band scene. The name of the band is The Heavy Pets. Check out their bio on Jambase.

Who are we as a band, as people. What is our character?: Honest Hard-working Passionate Talented Musicians and Composers devoted to our craft.

Band Insights: “Our branding has to reflect the high energy of our live performance, that is what this band is all about. It's about creating a huge dance party and a carnival atmosphere.” “We have to create a homegrown, non commercial feel with our ads and image. “ “The fleeting get high party thing is anchored on the other side by real songs about real shit that people can feel and identify with. Thanks. The logo should be done for the band and not for the project. So, the logo should read "The Heavy Pets".......look forward to seeing more from you.

Hello Mark,

Here is my design. The reason why I chose such font is because I think it works quite well with the eye and they both give a feel of natural energy that is ready to explode. It's young and powerful!

went with a little more laid back, fun, natural look. the abstract shape surrounding the text hints at "fusion", which serves as a nod to what your music is like. will have let my friend listen to your stuff. he just got back from a phish show in cincinnati, he's into jam bands.

Thanks. The band are phish heads too. They often play before or after Phish. I kinda of like this approach but would like to see more vibrant colors.
