could you help think of a logo?

well i dont have any cash for a prize, cause i thought since the forum was non-cash prize that i didnt need a prize, sorry if im wrong. im new here. but let me specify... im looking for people to create logos and there will be no cash prize. but i may create a thread later that will have a cash prize, but there is no cash prize for this one. thanks

I'd like to try even though there is no prize. I'd only be able to spend some time in the evenings as I have a dreaded desk job during the day. I'm not musical. Some more direction would be appreciated.

Here are a few examples. I used an abstract man like he was waving for a taxi but he has a guitar too. Most of the fonts used resemble ransom note type fonts. A few of the O's have a taxi shape in them or an x. I also used a dotted line shape on top of a few to abstractely show a road. Here's one but its way too crowded... busy.. i dont know. This is my first try EVER, i have never designed logos before, and of course, did not hope for a good design from the first try.

It does need improvement, so if you like it, tell me what to change and i will costomize it to your needs, other than that i admit that im a bad logo designer, at least for the time being.

wow. i didnt expect to get this many. thank you all very much for all of your entries. crayolamike - i really like all of the logos that you designed, my favorite is the one with the stick figure guy, excellent work.
grudice- i like yours alot too, i like that is clean and not too much is happening so its not very distracting, good job.
ca logos- you did a good job too, i really like the tread design thingys.
naomidodds - i cant really see your attempt because of the sample thing.

What kind of music does Ransom Taxi play? Can you give some more direction on what you are looking for? Do you want traditional taxi colors and taxi related graphics in the logo?

ok now, i know there is no prize, but we deserve at least full credit and recognition in whatever usage (i.e. cd label or shirts or website or whatever) for the logo that you choose... that alone is prize enough. is that a possibility? anyway... here is the logo i made... let me know what you think.

wow rEnder, that looks great, i really like it. you did an excellent job, i like the way that it looks "sketchy"...i dont really know how to explain it, but i like it. oh, and ca logos, ransom taxi plays just general rock, if you want to i will see if i can upload some mp3s, if you are interested in hearing some stuff. oh and a taxi in the logo is good, but not necessary, colors that we mostly use are red, yellow, black, and white. thanks

well, you see the reason i used b&w is that most record companies and bands don't like to spend the extra cash for the printing of the colors.... look at most band logo's... anyway, is this an alternative style rock or grunge or what? i'd like to hear a sample... by the way i design everything from covers to logos, oh and thanks!
