Portfolio Site...plus FREE DOWNLOADS

Hello. I'm new to this site. I can't wait to become a full member so I can work on projects. Anyway, I would like other's opinion on my site and and my work. Could you please let me know if you think I am ready to submit my application yet or should I keep on working. Please don't be kind...I want true criticism. the FREE DOWNLOADS in the thread's title doesn't look like you are ready to submit your application. Why? Because you don't see the difference between "showoff" and "advertise yourself".

Ok? I want your criticism, but that's not what I meant. I'm not spamming here dude. I'm in the SHOWOFF section of your website. My title "portfolio site, plus free downloads" is clear as day. I've contributed my help where I could throughout the site, and because I decide to SHOWOFF my site, I'm so different than the rest of the people who are doing the same? I am offering free royalty free images for your members to download. I didn't think that is a bad thing. While they are downloading the images, I wanted to know what people thought of my site since I just got it up. I find it a bit funny honestly. You are the founder, so I will take what you say seriously, but I'm just a bit confused here. I mean, you have your portfolio "epifanov.ru" in your signature. It's in bolder and brighter font than my little link. Should I refrain from including my website from now on? How can I get help if I am not suppose to list it? I want to become a helpful member, but I feel singled out here.

Your title seem to be way more like an advertisement, more commercially than just a link under the signature. You could had easily say portfolio or check out my portfolio, and leave out the plus free downloads.

yeah i guess so. I just didn't see the harm in it. I know I like to get free stuff to use in my designs. But anyway
