My Vector portrait
Ok, I finally finished working on this.
This is me on the vector portrait and this is my first work with Illustrator's meshes. I've wanted to try to make a photo realistic vector image of a person for a long time and since I didn't want anyone to get angry at me for ruining their face I used myself as the model.Everything (as you can see on the outline image), except for the eyelashes and the hairs of the eyebrows, is done with meshes. Well, there is still a lot to be done, a lot to be desired, but since it took me sooo much time so far, I decided to call it a day and touch up any details at a later (unspecified ) time. |

Very nice done, looks like many hours of work. The vector outline version looks very creepy though. I wonder how much MB the ai file is?

Thanks all for the positive feedback!
I actually stopped counting the hours after the first month . Well, not that I have worked only on this image every day but it did take me too many hours. And it was mainly my fault - I made my work harder by choosing a low resolution image so I had to make up myself most of the details. As a result I am really not happy with some of them, for example the eyes. The .ai file is about 5 MB. And the vector outline does look very creepy . |
