Affordable? Good? hmmm...
There's a good one from http://proximasoftware.com/ for $35. You can create your own collections, etc. Then a litte bit more pricey is "Suitcase" from www.extensis.com. It's 100 bucks, but if you are a student it's only $29 from www.academicsuperstore.com. It also let you create collections. Then there are various other shareware ones, that you can check out from www.tucows.com or www.download.com by searching on "Font Manager" |

For TrueType, try this old (but gold) free program called FontThing:

hi casperamy,
I was browsing around the forums and saw this.... and just thought I could share the one I use... that is if you're still looking for a font viewer.. I'm kinda new here... sorry if this is kinda late already.. nways.... you can find more details about it here : http://www.ampsoft.net/utilities/FontViewer.php I've been using this free font viewer/installer for quite some time now... and I have to say that it's really been a good tool to have... basically what I like about it is... that its a small file... straight to the point, nice features like installing fonts temporarily and more... read em at their site it'll explain it better than I would... oh and did I mention its free!? g'luck! I hope that's what you're lookin' for and I hope it'll work for you... I think its one of those tools/utilitites a GD should always have... ![]()

I have a problem. I want a font browser to preview fonts, but every software description I read says it previews the INSTALLED fonts! I have 700 MB of fonts in a separate disk and there's no way I'm going to install all those on my system! It would get too slow (the more fonts you install, the slower your system gets).
I want an app to select a font directory and preview the fonts in that directory... Anyone? |
