Practice with airbrushing
Please note I did not actually draw the little demon guy. I shaded and coloured him from a black and white line drawing. This was done for a personal friend, and for practice with the wacom/airbrushing. Doing the tongue was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be, I'm still not completely satisfied with it :/
Demon guy in splash page PS: The original colour one is how I originally coloured him, the shaded version on the main part is hue/saturation/brightness changes.

That's nice illumina, but I think it is a little bit plane. Try using darker and lighter colours for shadows and highlights respectively. I believe this will give more volume to the "little demon guy". I mean, it looks more like a mask than a head. I also think skin looks too pale/desaturated, but maybe it's just me.
It's nice to see something different. Since I registered I have seen many logos and websites, but no brushed works or photo editions. Is that photoshop? |

nice airbrushing, it looks very good.
i think you should edit it a bit though, maybe make it stand out more. it looks too bland, spice it up! use a brighter shade of red, throw maybe a blood element in it? not sure, get more creative don't make it busy, just do something to make things stand out a bit more.other than that, i love how it all relates and everything meshes overall, well done. the lighting is also done very well. |
