It all depends on the school you go to.

There is no set standard that says "you need math to get a degree". From my experience, I have to meet arts and science requirements (which are all chosen by me). Some of these classes are math based, but I have the option to take something else instead.

I have had 5 different majors - and for each degree I enrolled in, one of the core classes was Math. Now, that's not to say that you had to take Calculus - you could satisfy the math requirement with your basic college algebra or Statistics - sometimes even business math. it really depends on the type of school that you go to - some dive right into the specialized degree classes, while others require you to complete a certain number of basics, such as math, english, science, etc.

Best thing to do is to find the courses required for the degree that you're seeking.

What art institute? There are thousands of art institutes in the world. If you want specific answers like these, find the institutes website and look it up. If the answer isn't there, talk to your school counsellor or find a phone number for prospective students.

We have all attended/attend different schools, so our answers will not be specific.
